Condemn the Turn Over of Mrs. Ma'souma Alkabi and her 5
Children
International human rights
conventions are all-embracing instruments that grant all
individuals the right to demonstrate, to carry out sit-ins,
reject, and renounce any insult or degradation considered
inhumane in nature, or considered a violation of individuals'
rights. Those rights are granted to all individuals, groups, and
nations without exclusion.
All individuals, groups, and
member states of the UN fall under an obligation to fulfil the
articles of those conventions, especially those member states
which have willingly opted to ratify the UN conventions related
to human rights.
We, the Ahwazi people as a
nation, strongly condemn the actions taken by the Syrian
intelligence, and its close collaboration with the occupying
Persian intelligence authorities against the defenceless
innocent Ahwazi people. This is especially true as the Syrian
Arab Republic is among the countries that have ratified all UN
conventions and resolutions.
Now, at the eve of the 3rd
millennium, which the General Assembly of the UN has vowed to
assign to development, uprooting of poverty, and respect for
human rights- We deem Syrian Intelligence's turn over, in April
2005, to Iran of the following Ahwazi individuals as a gross
violation of human rights:
1. Abdul Rasool Mazra'a, 2.
Falih Abdulla Almansouri- Dutch citizen of Ahwazi origin
3. Tahir Ali Mazra'a, 4.
Saeed Ouda Alsaki, teacher, and 5. Jamal Ni'ma
Alobaidi. Thereafter, at the beginning of 2008, Saeed
Hammadi, was also surrendered to the Iranian intelligence.
Nonetheless, the most vicious
disregard of humanity took place on 27th September
2008, when an Ahwazi lady; Ma'souma Alkabi, along with her
five children: 1. Shaima' Habeeb Jabor, 2. Asia Habeeb Jabor,
3. Asmaa Habeeb Jabor, 4. Iyad Habeeb Jabor, and 5. Imad Habeeb
Jabor- were transferred by the Syrian intelligence to Iran.
We consider that act as the cruellest act of inhumanity,
especially for its total neglect of human rights and Arabian
brotherhood bonds. It must be emphasized that all mentioned
individual were registered with the United Nations Higher
Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), were in possession of
documentation establishing their collective status as refugees
on their way from the Syrian Arab Republic to European
countries.
We condemn that act as a
ruthless criminal action against humanity, especially in view of
Iran's drastic history of human rights blemished with
cold-blooded violations.
We call upon all those
concerned to uphold their responsibilities, and warn that the
Iranian authorities shall repeatedly violate the rights of that
lady and her children, and that Mrs. Ma'souma and her
innocent children will be subjected to physical and
psychological torture.
The fate of Ma'souma and
her children remains until this minute unknown.
The people gathered here today
state their categorical reject of this cruel crime, and request
the Syrian Arab Republic to put an end to the ghastly violations
of human rights. What's more, to punish all those directly
responsible for committing this crime.
Furthermore, we call upon all
international organisations and institutions concerned with
human and child rights; UN Commission on Human Rights, Unicef,
Arab Organization for Human Rights, and Amnesty International to
uphold their responsibilities of defending individuals against
violations of human rights.
