Breaking news: Iran reports seizing an American ship carrying 34 crew

According to a report from Al Arabiya, Iranian forces claim to have detained an American cargo ship in the Arabian Gulf which was carrying a crew of 34 Americans, and to have towed it to the port of Bandar Abbas.

Although a US official said that there are no reports of any US ship being seized or directed into any Iranian port, a Pentagon spokesman said that a Marshall Island-flagged vessel had been boarded by the Iranian navy.
